Zambia initiates bidding for solar energy + energy storage project
Recently, the Zambian National Energy Company (ZNEC) has launched a tender to install solar power plants and battery energy storage systems (BESS) in 156 selected areas across the country. This is part of the national electrification plan. ZNEC has initiated a tender to build 2MW solar power plants and 4MWh BESS in all 156 electoral districts in Zambia, with the responsibility for engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC).
