- Direct method:
If the outer end face of the screw is exposed and the hole is not deep, you can directly hold the screw with pliers and pull it out forcefully.
2. A common method for stripping teeth is to use a broken bolt remover. First, drill a hole at the center of the broken screw. Then, use a central drill bit to drill a hole at the punched position. After that, use a larger drill bit to continue drilling. After drilling the hole, use a broken bolt remover to drill the hole. Slowly twist the remover with a wrench. When most of the broken screw has been unscrewed, you can directly unscrew the screw by hand. This method is generally used when the screw is completely broken and the outer end face is not exposed. If the screw has stripped threads, you can also try this method. When implementing, two points should be noted: First, the outer diameter of the drill bit should be smaller than the inner diameter of the screw; The second point is that the tap of the extractor should be in the left-rotating direction.
3. Applicable methods for large hole diameters and short broken screws:
In this case, you can first apply lubricating oil at the fracture site, and then use a small chisel to slowly knock it out in the opposite direction at the fracture site. Remember to clear the debris at the fracture site in time during this process.
4. Practical method: A more practical approach is to drill the threaded hole of the broken screw to a larger size, then insert a threaded sleeve or pin, weld and grind it flat, and re-drill and tap. This method is relatively more complicated to operate, but it is highly practical and has no requirements for the diameter of the threaded hole. 5. Method One for removing large-hole broken screws: If the hole diameter of the broken screw is large, you can directly weld a handle or nut on the broken surface and then screw it out in the opposite direction. This method is rather troublesome to operate and has high requirements for welding techniques. Small screws are not easy to handle.
6. Method Two for removing broken screws with large hole diameters
When the hole diameter of the broken screw is relatively large, a straight groove can be chiseled out on the broken section and screwed out in the opposite direction with a screwdriver. Like the welding method, this operation is rather difficult and requires patience.
7. Common Applicable methods:
Drill a slot on the outer edge of the broken surface of the screw, hold it in place with a chisel or screwdriver, and then slowly strike the chisel counterclockwise with a hammer until the broken screw is removed. Before applying this method, the screw can be locally heated first.
