On December 5th local time, the largest electrochemical energy storage project in Central Asia - the Tashkent Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Project in Uzbekistan - successfully completed its first grid connection and began to officially serve the Uzbekistan power grid. The project is located 30 kilometers northeast of the capital Tashkent of Uzbekistan. A new 334-megawatt/500-megawatt-hour energy storage station was built, along with a 220-kilovolt substation for power transmission.
